Perfect Beach Day
Today is a perfect beach day on Pensacola Beach. Since the hurricanes, the beach has taken on a different shape, making it possible to walk out on sandbars far out into the Gulf. Fish at this time of year is good too. If you walk out into the water, you’ll soon be surrounded by little fish being eaten by big fish!
Of course, fishing isn’t all about catching fish, is it? Having moved from Michigan last year, I’m still not used to scenes like this when it is nearly October:

Now get out there and enjoy the beach! Who knows how many nice days like this we’ll have left!

Where in Michigan are you from? I grew up on the east side of the state. Lived a while near Pensacola too. There just isn’t any comparison. The great lakes are nice, but there isn’t the feel of paradise there. Especially in the winter. :-)
Pat, I grew up in Ortonville, MI, but lived in East Lansing for almost 10 years, and in Grand Rapids for several years. I worked in Detroit for several years as well (in the Ren Cen).
Amazing! I grew up around Pontiac, MI. Married a man from Belding, MI outside of Grand Rapids. Small world. Do you miss Michigan and how long have you been gone?
Pat, small world indeed!
I lived in Michigan my whole life until last year (28 years), and there are two things I miss about Michigan: the wine, and the season of fall. Neither really exist down here.
